Malta has a long-standing tradition in water polo, Malta boasts a number of high-quality aquatic centers and facilities, including the National Pool Complex, In addition to top-tier water polo training, Malta offers a fantastic blend of cultural experiences. Athletes can enjoy the island’s rich history, stunning beaches, and vibrant nightlife during downtime, making their training experience both productive and enjoyable.


You will also be participating in the prestigious International Malta Tournament, where you will compete against top teams from various European countries. This tournament offers a valuable opportunity to test your skills against elite international athletes, providing exposure to different playing styles and strategies. Competing at this level not only enhances your performance but also fosters personal growth by learning from diverse opponents and gaining new techniques, all while building connections within the global water polo community.

Family and Friends Trip!

Cancellation Policy

Why is the trip deposit non-refundable?

 There is well over a year’s worth of time and planning that goes into making these events successful.  There is a nonrefundable deposit at the time of sign up to make sure those signing up are serious about securing their place, this deposit is used immediately to secure our lodging, shuttles, etc.   

The event venue, hotels, excursions, and classes are planned well in advance and do have specific deadlines and/or policies and therefore are not refundable after a certain point. (Similar to Airbnb)  We understand that things come up and something may happen to prevent you from attending. For this reason, we also STRONGLY suggest trip insurance.

If you cancel within one month of your arrival a 30% cancellation fee will occur to cover the costs of hotels, transportation, pool etc..

Accomodation

Hotel to be confirmed depending on number of athletes

Breakfast and Lunch

Breakfast and lunch will be served at the Sports Complex, ensuring convenience and nutrition to fuel training sessions.

Dinner

In the evening, we’ll dine at a local restaurant, giving athletes the chance to enjoy Malta’s culinary offerings and relax in a social atmosphere.

Blue Lagoon

Located on Comino Island, is renowned for its crystal-clear turquoise waters and white sandy beaches. A popular spot for swimming and snorkeling, it offers a serene escape and stunning natural beauty.

International Tournament

Competing against other countries allows players to learn new skills and diverse playing styles, enhancing their overall game and experience.

Morning Training

Athletes will have the pool time in the morning when the tournament is not going on.

Scrimmages

During the week when the tournament hasnt started we will set you up with trainings in the area.

After playing professionally in Dunaújváros, Hungary, and Italy for 5 years, I discovered the power of international training experiences. I created Azevedo Water Polo to give young athletes the chance to expand their skills through elite-level training combined with cultural immersion in Italy. Our trips are designed to improve athletes' techniques while exploring Italy's rich culture, history, and stunning beauty.
