Activity

Our trips include a mix of structured water polo training and cultural experiences designed to give athletes and families a full Italian experience.

Athletes will participate in daily morning training sessions (1.5 hours) either independently or with an Italian coach, as well as friendly matches against Italian clubs from Monday to Friday. Additional skill development sessions with professional coaches can also be arranged upon request.

Outside the pool, the program includes a variety of experiences such as beach days in places like San Fruttuoso—featuring a hike to a seaside restaurant only accessible on foot and a swim to the famous underwater Christ statue—along with cultural visits to nearby cities such as Florence, Portofino, and Santa Margherita. Team bonding activities may include cooking classes, kayaking, and opportunities to experience authentic Italian lifestyle and traditions.

The schedule is carefully designed to balance performance, recovery, and enjoyment, ensuring athletes make the most of every day in Italy.

AzeItalia

Cassie Azevedo Maggiolo – As the founder of Azevedo Water Polo, I’ve led team and individual training trips for 15 years. After playing professionally in Dunaújváros, Hungary, and Italy for 5 years, I discovered the power of international training experiences. I created Azevedo Water Polo to give young athletes the chance to expand their skills through elite-level training combined with cultural immersion in Italy. Our trips are designed to improve athletes' techniques while exploring Italy's rich culture, history, and stunning beauty.
